Morgan Mangelsen

Morgan Mangelsen is an accomplished landscape architect and horticulturist whose deep affection for the natural world was nurtured during her childhood in the woodlands of northern Wisconsin. Her professional journey has spanned the globe, where she has led diverse projects that focus on master planning and urban ecology. Throughout her career, Morgan has demonstrated a deep commitment to increasing biodi-versity in urban environments and enhancing the well-being of communities by promoting greater access to nature. She believes that thoughtful landscape design can profoundly impact both ecological health and human experience, and she is dedicated to creating spaces where nature and urban life coexist harmoniously. Her work is driven by a deep passion for merging design with natural systems to shift cultural and social perceptions. Morgan has garnered extensive experience working with some of the most esteemed firms in the industry, including Bjarke Ingels Group, Future Green Studio, and Cuningham Group Architecture. She has worked on numerous high-profile projects such as the Audemars Piguet Hotel in Switzerland, the Downtown Brooklyn Framework Plan in Brooklyn, and Re-development of the Saint-Laurent Coastline in Quebec City. Morgan’s innovative contributions to urban design have been recognized by the ASLA NY Honor Awards and the Rethink-ingThe Future Awards. She was a founding member of the ASLA Plant Research Group, where she co-lead plant walks to increase horticultural education in landscape architecture.
